INT. A HOTEL ROOM - DAY

Xmandre and Dimple are sitting on the bed, looking out the window.

XMANDRE

(looking out the window)

Oh no! It's raining outside.

DIMPLE

(disappointed)

But we were supposed to go swimming today.

XMANDRE

(optimistic)

Don't worry, we can still have fun indoors.

XMANDRE pulls out a deck of cards and starts shuffling them. He then proceeds to do a magic trick, but it goes wrong and he accidentally sets the curtains on fire.

DIMPLE

(screaming)

Oh my god! What have you done?

XMANDRE tries to put out the fire with a glass of water, but it only makes things worse. The sprinkler system goes off and soaks everything in the room.

DIMPLE

(angrily)

I can't believe you set the room on fire!

XMANDRE

(defensively)

It was just a little magic trick gone wrong.

DIMPLE

(sarcastically)

Yeah, well, next time let's stick to playing Go Fish.

XMANDRE looks dejected as DIMPLE starts to clean up the mess.

Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. XMANDRE opens it to reveal a hotel employee holding a large package.

HOTEL EMPLOYEE

(smiling)

Good afternoon! I have a special delivery for Mr. Xmandre.

XMANDRE

(surprised)

For me? What is it?

HOTEL EMPLOYEE

(proudly)

It's our new indoor swimming pool!

DIMPLE looks at XMANDRE skeptically as the hotel employee sets up an inflatable pool in the middle of the room.

HOTEL EMPLOYEE

(excitedly)

It's perfect for rainy days like this! You can swim all you want without getting wet!

XMANDRE and DIMPLE look at each other and shrug. They put on their swimsuits and jump into the pool. XMANDRE starts doing laps while DIMPLE relaxes on a pool float.

Suddenly, there is a loud popping sound and the pool starts deflating. XMANDRE and DIMPLE scramble to get out of the pool before they get trapped inside.

DIMPLE

(angrily)

This is ridiculous! First, you set the room on fire, and now this?

XMANDRE

(apologetically)

I'm sorry. I just wanted to make this day special for us.

DIMPLE

(sighing)

I know. But sometimes, things don't go as planned.

XMANDRE

(smiling)

At least we'll have a funny story to tell our grandkids someday.

DIMPLE rolls her eyes as they start packing their bags.
